Having more than 1 website or blog is better if you plan to make more money.
At the moment I have 4 blogs.

• Sava’s Place
• PantherKut
• Baby Doll
• Sava dot name

Each of these website earns $100 a month … more or less. So, 4 websites would earn $400 or more per month right ?
As you can see in my April 2008 earnings I earned $400 with just 3 blogs. Sava dot name was in the making.

And yes, having more websites or blogs automaticly takes more of your time. If you want to earn enough to support yourself you have to work a lot, no matter what you do.

Calculate your time, especially your time spent online and try to make things a lot easier.
If you have a Wordpress blog here are some tips to help you save a lot of time and manage to keep alive more blogs.

Images in post

Wordpress 2.5 has a pretty nifty feature to insert a bunch of images at once in your post.

Imagine if you want to publish 30 photos from your vacation on your blog and how much time it would take.

Don’t put your blog on pause if you’re travelling

Wordpress has 2 other handy features. The first one is the Schedule.

If you’re gone for 10 days schedule at least 3 posts at least once every 3 days. Remember to schedule posts for each of your blogs. People subscribe very often to blogs that update rarely.

Or you can easily Post via e-mail.
Go to Settings in your Wordpress admin panel and then Writing. Create a secret email address that only you know and enter it’s details there.
You see a lot of stuff happen when you’re on the go. Why not share them right when those interesting, worth mentioning things happen ? Even if you’re in a train you can easily send an email from your phone to the secret email account.

Your brand new post is live and you didn’t even touch your computer.

I had this error to and I had to search a lot to find a fix.
So … to make things easier to you here’s what you have to do.

First of all you login to your FTP account, and look for a file called .htaccess
Now if you already have a .htaccess file there download it, open it with any text editor and place this code in it. If there is some other code in the file make sure the code below above everything.

In case you need to create a .htaccess file yourself just put the code and upload it back to your server.

First of all … do you really want to make money from your blog ?

Not all people that own a blog are eager to make money from it. Blogging is supposed to be a passion, your own journal, a way to get in touch with people all around the world.
If you thought it over and you want to monetize your blog you have to know that there are a lot of websites you can earn money from by showing ads or posting reviews.

They were chosen from a lot of ad networks and work best for me. Of course you have to try others as well and see which one is better for your blog.

Wordpress has a lot of plugins but I suggest you use at least these 3 for your blog.

Show Top Commentators

This plugin will count the number of comments each visitors makes on your blog. You will then have the possibility to display a list of your top commentators.
The thing is that when displaying the names the script will also link to the visitors website without a nofollow tag. Who doesn’t want a free link on your blog ? Users will make more comments for sure to be able to stay on the list. I suggest displaying only 10 commentators so that the battle is always on.

Google Sitemap Generator

If you don’t use Google Webmaster Tools READ THIS first. If you don’t read it you won’t understand what I’m saying below.
Generating sitemaps for a big blog with a lot of pages can take some time. This plugin will generate a new sitemap each time you update your blog. Using this plugin will save you time and help search engines to index your blog better. The more pages you have indexed by search engines the more traffic you’ll get.

Every time an user comments on your blog is because he found the post interesting. He might want to find out what other people think about your post.
This plugin will give users the possibility to get notified by email whenever a new comment is posted on your blog.

Everything I write is from my own experience and if you apply everything correctly you will surely improve your earnings.

The easiest way to make money online is by blogging. Many of you probably have a blog already, but for those that don’t this is a step by step tutorial on how to start and promote your blog with 0$ cash. That means no advertising, no paid hosting … maybe just your own domain name.
What you will need:

• a domain name
• hosting
• a publishing platform

As you probably figured out by now you will have to get these 3 things for free. Here’s how:

Domain name

I truly suggest you get your own domain name at first. If you don’t have any credit card or Paypal account ask you mommy or daddy to give you $10 for a domain name.

I use Domainrightnow.com to manage all my domains. The prices are ok. I began using it since I registered on DDBoard. DDBoard is a forum which registers domains for you in exchange for quality posts.
This is how I got my first domain ( Sava’s Place ).

Hosting

After your domain is registered you gotta get hosting. I recommend 2 free hosting providers which also requires posting. Either ej.am or grandforums.com.
Check them out and see which one you like better. They both offer cPanel for management.
Thor Erik suggested another good hosting: Ceege. Take a look at these 3 and choose the best for you.

Publishing platform

Now that your hosting is also set up and you changed the nameservers for your domain it’s time to install your blog.
I strongly suggest you use Wordpress. If you know a bit of html and CSS you can make your own theme to stand out from the crowd.
Here are the steps necessary to optimize your wordpress installation.
First of all … when you install wordpress make sure that “Do you want your blog to appear in search engines” is checked.
A must do is to set up wordpress to use static links instead of dynamic links.

And that’s it. 3 easy steps and you have your own blog with your own domain name and hosting without paying a dime.
Later on … when your blog gets a lot of visitors you have to consider to buy hosting because paid hosting offers much more bandwidth.
I remember that those free 5 GB of bandwidth I had only lasted me 7 days … and Puff … my site was down: Bandwidth Limit Exceeded.
When you see this message … and I hope you do … it means that your blog started receiving traffic, much more traffic than what your free hosting could stand.
